The Impact of Climate Change on Agricultural Productivity: A Regional Analysis
Among all these climatic factors, two particular conditions influence agricultural production: rainfall and temperature because they area both related to other factors. Climate change actually worsens both the biotic and abiotic stresses affecting crop productivity and thus the world’s agricultural production. This paper will therefore seek to discuss the impacts of climate change in agriculture with special reference to temperature and rainfall changes. This is because climate change affects almost all fields globally mainly affecting Agriculture, manufacturing industries and the energy sector. In order to measure the efficacy and efficiency boost in agriculture, assessment of the resource’s management, and in general productivity, we use k-Nearest Neighbors Algorithm, Decision Tree algorithm, Naïve Bayes algorithm, Gradient Boosting algorithm, Support Vector Machines Algorithm and Random Forest algorithm. These models will enable explanation of the interaction between climate factors and agricultural performance, there by aiding in the understanding of how climate change impacts production success and decisions in agriculture.
