Greenshift: Converting Industrial and Vehicular Emissions into Sustainable Carbon Outputs
Air pollution, particularly from industrial emissions, presents a major environmental and health challenge. Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and particulate matter are significant contributors. This paper introduces 'Pollution-Ink,' an innovative approach that captures these pollutions and converts them into high-value ink, offering a sustainable solution aligned with circular economy principles. The method uses advanced capture technologies like metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and zeolites to selectively adsorb VOCs and particulate matter from industrial emissions. These pollutions undergo catalytic conversion and thermochemical processing, turning them into carbon-rich pigments for ink production. The refined ink, enhanced with eco-friendly binders, is suitable for environmentally friendly packaging, sustainable branding, and art. Pollution-Ink mitigates air pollution and repurposes industrial waste into a valuable commodity, providing a novel, scalable approach to reducing environmental impact. The paper explores the methodology, potential applications, environmental benefits, and challenges of this innovative solution, emphasizing its feasibility and potential for widespread adoption.
