Fuzzy Controller Based Optimum Converters for Modelling of Grid Integrated Hybrid PV-Wind-Fuel Cell System
In this paper delineates a fuzzy controller based power converter for hybrid system. To integrate various renewable energy sources such Solar-PV, wind, fuel cell to grid multiple power converters are essential. However, design a feasible controller for these converters is challenging. In this current work, a lower number of power converters are utilized to model, control and energy management in the hybrid system. Solar-PV module incorporated with the hybrid Wind-BESS and FC electrolyser system with eliminating the PV converter. Implemented hybrid energy system configuration with least power converters in this work so minimum controller loops are exist. Therefore, the complexities to design controllers for hybrid system can be reduced. For achieve the stable regulation of DC link voltage and provide frequency support to the utility grid a well designed controller required for both grid side converters (GSC) and rotor side converters (RSC) is significant. Operating RSC converters accurately a fuzzy logic control (FLC) algorithm is established in this work. Unlike linear PI controllers, the FLC algorithm operates the RSC converters well and provides balanced output power. For generate more wind power DFIG asynchronous machine utilized. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed FLC algorithm simulation results carried out for intermittence levels of PV and wind power generations. Energy management among the hybrid power resources is analyzed.
