Level shifted PWM control for Switched capacitor-Based Boost Inverter
This study aims to present a nine-level boost inverter with a switched capacitor 9 level boost inverter (SC-9LBI) configuration utilizing a modified Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) technique with level-shifting. The SC-9LBI design offers minimal switches, sources and capacitors. The proposed inverter achieves a voltage boost with an input-to-output ratio of 1:4. Additionally, this research explores various level-shifted PWM techniques to improve the quality of the inverter's output voltage. The performance of the SC-9LBI is evaluated based on parameters such as harmonic distortion, DC component, peak voltage, and root mean square output voltage (Vrms). Simulation studies are carried out in MATLAB/Simulink to analyze the proposed inverter's effectiveness.
