A Power Sharing Model Prototype for PV Splitting Power in a Residential Building
The use of renewable energy sources connected to utility installations has grown exponentially in recent years, helped by recent European and Italian regulations that incentivize the creation of new aggregates of utilities sharing green generation sources. In this context, energy communities are emerging with the goal of prioritizing self-consumption of renewable energy sources and impacting less and less on the public distribution grid. The goal of this paper is to propose the new "power sharing" model for the physical aggregation of users, by superimposing an innovative de network on top of the public grid to allocate locally generated power while maintaining each user's operation as a load and avoiding feeding power into the grid and exchanging power among users. The new network actually acts as a power allocator among users. This paper shows the operation and the results of a "power sharing" prototype, capable of splitting the power generated by a photovoltaic system to different users. The final objective is to perform some analysis aimed at a feasibility hypothesis on possible real applications in the residential field, in order to provide a solution to the sharing of renewable energy across different users who are co-owners of it.
