KRISHI VIKASA - Intelligent AgroClimaPredict: A Holistic Approach to Smart Crop Management through Machine Learning and Data Analytics
Farmers are the backbone of any country, especially in India, as a staggering 54% of the population’s means of survival is agriculture. Nonetheless, 80% of Indian agriculturalists are exposed to the unfavorable effects of the natural environment and market prices. Hence, as a solution to these problems, we suggest Krishi Vikasa: "Intelligent AgroClimaPredict using machine learning and data analytics" A Smart Farming Solution Using Machine Learning and Data Analytics. This system enables the farmers to take decisions by internalizing weather information, soil nutrients, crops that will fetch better income, and market predictions of trends all in real time. Unlike the traditional systems, which involve a lot of detail such as N, P, K values and rainfall, our solution is easier. They can simply input their city, and the system will retrieve the real time and 30 day average precipitation, predict soil nutrients using Random Forest regression, and give appropriate crop suggestions using logistic regression. The page showing the crop recommendation results presents a summary of the weather, predictions of crop nutrition, and suggestions on crops to plant basing on the overall profitability from yield and price data of the crops. In addition, the system includes features that reflect the historical price ranges of crops giving the highest and lowest prices to help the users in choosing which crops will be profitable. Most recent weather is projected on a weather report card and graphical representations of the weather for the last thirty days are also illustrated. By allowing decisions through big data analyse, farmers are able to effectively select the correct crops for the current market through Krishi Vikasa thus improving their productivity and income.
