AI-Powered Code Editors: Bridging the Gap Between Academia and Industry
Modern software development has significant problems maintaining the quality of codes together with the improvement in productivity. This paper will present an AI- driven Code Review Assistant that is targeted towards the automation and enhancing code review processes by implementing some advanced machine learning and natural language processing techniques. It can provide instant code analysis for detecting potential bugs, time and space complexity estimation, and performance improvements recommendations. The platform, integrated with more than 50 programming languages through the JDoodle API, lets developers get instant feedback about the quality and performance of their code. The system also promotes cooperation through a real-time environment for coding, built from React.js, Node.js, and Socket.IO; this allows several developers to co-operate. A code-friendly interface driven by CodeMirror is implemented to deliver functionalities such as syntax highlighting and real-time error detection toward the efficient execution of the development process. Empirical results show a high precision for bug detection and code optimization of the AI-Powered Code Editor, where it attained a precision of 90% with large improvements in the time-to- complete tasks and accuracy over the baseline. Studies using users have shown that it aids productivity, facilitates learning, and provides developers insights needed for decision-making as well as making it a crucial tool for novice programmers as well as expert ones.
