Performance Analysis of AQSG Controller Based Two-stage Bidirectional AC-DC Converter in LEVs
Electric vehicles (EVs) are becoming increasingly popular due to environmental benefits, energy efficiency and cost savings. The battery charging system is essential to the advancement of EVs. This paper presents a two-stage AC-DC converter for charging the batteries of light electric vehicles (LEVs). To charge low voltage LEV batteries, the proposed charger uses a transformerless two-stage converter design, in contrast to traditional Battery Chargers, which use transformer (low or high frequency) based techniques. Vehicle-to-grid (V2G) and grid-to-vehicle (G2V) modes of bidirectional power flow are effective with the suggested EV charger. In the bidirectional AC-DC phase, the converter employs a Adaptive quadrature signal generator(AQSG), which has a precise, flawless, and quick response. To validate the effectiveness of this design simulation based on a 1kW system operating with a 48V, 80Ah Li-ion battery. The results confirmed the theoretical predictions, demonstrating the suitability of the converter for EV battery charging and discharging operations. These results highlight the converter’s suitability for integration into EV charging infrastructures
