Front End AC-DC PFC Converter for Two Stage EV Chargers
This paper deals with a single-phase EV charger topology, Eliminating the use of diode bridge rectifiers is one of the primary goal of this topology. By employing bridgeless topology, the topology seeks to increase the input power factor closer to unity. Also by running switches in distinct ac input half cycles, conduction losses can be minimized. The circuit contains fewer components throughout the conducting time. A DC-DC converter at the PFC converter’s output controls battery charging in CC-CV modes. In this case, isolated flyback converters are employed to guarantee the charger’s general security. This topology is set up so that one of the inductors is operated in DCM and attaining intrinsic PFC at the input side, it can also accomplish PFC without any inner loops. Additionally, This converter’s input side uses an LC low pass filterto remove higher order harmonics and to increase power quality.
