Unipolar Sinusoidal PWM for Quadratic Voltage Gain Space Efficient Inverter
This paper deals with a modular layout for the Quadratic Voltage Gain Space Efficient Inverter (QVGSEI) which includes a Unipolar Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (USPWM) control. The major objective of this proposed model is to overcome the drawback of the conventional multilevel inverters (MLIs) such as usage of large switches, sources, diodes and capacitors. The proposed QVGSEI uses can capable of generating nine level output with One DC source, two capacitors, eight switches and couple of diodes. The QVGSEI necessitates only few components compare to existing inverters. Furthermore, the quality of the output waveforms is improving by using unipolar multi-carrier modulation scheme with SPWM control. The overall QVGSEI performance is assessed by MATLAB simulation test results in terms of low total harmonic distortion and high DC bus utilisation with various USPWM control with variety of modulation index,
