Experimental Investigation and Performance Analysis of Cascaded Active Quasi Z-Source Inverter Fed Three Phase Induction Motor
The closed-loop control of a three-phase induction motor (TPIM) fed by cascaded active quasi Z-source inverter (CAQZSI) is discussed in this research. The AC voltage supply is stepped down to a low voltage by a stepdown transformer, and then to DC by an AC/DC diode rectifier and fed to the CAQZSI. The Quazi Z source (QZS) network boosts the input dc voltage and mitigates ripples present in the DC voltage, thereby increasing the reliability and flexibility of the system. The conditioned DC voltage has been converted to AC voltage through a 3-phase inverter to drive the induction motor (IM). The IM speed has been controlled by using a PI controller by sensing the inverter output voltage. The input voltage to the inverter is regulated by a PI controller through feedback from the dc input. Driver circuits or power interface circuits control the inverter switches. The closed loop control of CAQZSN and TPIM is employed by using a PI controller works good for applications with variable workloads where dependable output is essential, as it aims for efficient motor drive, voltage amplification, and minimized harmonic distortion.
