Raspberry Pi based Wi-Fi Extender for Smart Home Applications
This research presents the design and implementation of a wireless Wi-Fi expander using Raspberry Pi to enhance the coverage and performance of local networks. The proposed device utilizes the skills of the Raspberry Pi as a cost-effective and versatile way to generate a broadband signal. Key capabilities include dual networks for receiving and transmitting Wi-Fi alerts, integrating software tools for better signal quality, and transmitting static data. Experimental results show improved signal strength with time-long coverage in areas with weak Wi-Fi. This latter offers a scalable alternative to technical expansion, making it suitable for a variety of embedded components in the home and office networks. It also provides a special legal-based clever automation where customers can control simple electrical appliances used in their home.
