Design and Implementation of a Cybersecurity Framework for Encrypted File Management System
Thiswork focuses on designing and implementing a cybersecurity framework for encrypted file management systems (EFMS) to ensure secure storage, restricted access, and protection against data breaches. Using SHA-256 cryptographic techniques, the system maintains data integrity and confidentiality during storage and transmission. Multifactor authentication (MFA) and role-based access control (RBAC) enhance security, allowing only authorized users to access encrypted files. A tamper-proof logging system aids in anomaly detection and forensic investigation. The modular design includes an encryption/decryption engine, key management, access control policies, and a real-time intrusion detection system (IDS), aligning with IEEE security standards. The framework is tested against threats like brute-force, man-in-the-middle, and ransomware attacks to evaluate efficiency and scalability. Complying with GDPR and ISO/IEC 27001, the EFMS enhances confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA) of data in cloud and enterprise environments.
