Enhancing Resilience and Security in Future Networks? A New Strategy for Smart Microgrids

This study presents an advanced microgrid management framework that seamlessly integrates offline predictive optimization with real-time adaptive control, ensuring enhanced operational efficiency and resilience. By employing proactive control strategies, the proposed methodology dynamically mitigates fluctuations in renewable generation and load demand, optimizing resource utilization while preserving grid stability. This approach achieves an optimal trade-off between cost minimization and security constraints, effectively attenuating the propagation of disturbances through the distribution network. Experimental validation on the PrInCE Microgrid at the Polytechnic University of Bari substantiates its effectiveness, demonstrating its capacity to resilient and sustainably address the challenges associated with renewable energy integration and the complexities of modern power grid dynamics.
