User-Friendly Digital Solution for Charging Stations

The growing adoption of Electric Vehicles (EVs) has emphasized the need for user-friendly digital solutions to enhance and simplify the charging experience. This study investigates user preferences and expectations for the development of a next-generation EV charging application, leveraging insights from a comprehensive survey. Prior to the survey, an in-depth analysis of existing EV charging applications was conducted to evaluate their key features, strengths, and limitations, identifying gaps that could be addressed to improve usability and functionality. The survey, distributed to a diverse group of EV users and potential adopters, examined critical aspects such as interface design, real-time availability, payment options, safety features, and integration with existing charging networks. By analyzing user feedback, this paper proposes a set of design guidelines and feature priorities to create a more efficient, accessible, and user-centric charging application. The findings aim to address current pain points, enhance the overall charging experience, and support broader sustainability objectives by encouraging EV adoption and optimizing charging infrastructure.
