Weighted High-Frequency SpAce GeneraTive ModEl (W-FATE): Application in High-Resolution Single-Shot T 2 Mapping via Multi-Echo-Train Multiple Overlapping-Echo Acquisition

The multiple overlapping-echo detachment (MOLED) imaging technique has shown promise in accelerating T2 mapping through overlapping echo signal modulation and subsequent deep learning reconstruction. However, in high-resolution single-shot multi-echo-train MOLED (METMOLED), the long readout time causes severe signal attenuation, coupled with the overlap of high-frequency components in k-space, which limits the resultant image quality and hinders its application in high-fidelity imaging. To address these challenges, we propose a novel reconstruction method that delivers precise fringe modulation and implicit information for METMOLED T2 mapping. This method captures high-frequency details and yields accurate and robust results in simulation, phantom, and in vivo experiments. It may find applications in other quantitative magnetic resonance imaging.
