ANÁLISE MORFOMÉTRICA DA BACIA HIDROGRÁFICA DO RIO SARAPUÍ – SP
This study aims to analyze the Sarapuí River Basin, located in the State of São Paulo, through morphometric characterization, considering geometry, relief, and drainage, providing essential data for planning and managing water resources in the region. The basin plays a fundamental role in supplying water to the urban, industrial, and agricultural sectors, as well as contributing significantly to environmental preservation and local economic development. The morphometric analysis was carried out through the application of mathematical models, geotechnologies, and remote sensing, using ArcGIS software to generate maps of altitude, slope, and hydrography. Morphometric variables included the compactness coefficient (Kc), form factor (Kf), and drainage density (Dd), as well as the altitudinal range, channel sinuosity index, and longitudinal profile. Results indicated that the basin has an elongated shape, with a low compactness coefficient and form factor. The basin's relief is predominantly gently irregular, with high roughness and low slope, presenting low drainage density, and a long maintenance coefficient, resulting in a basin with a low flood risk.
