POVERTY AND SOCIAL EXCLUSION

Poverty and social exclusion are some of the most serious challenges facing modern societies, with far-reaching economic, social and moral consequences.Poverty is not just about lack of income, but also includes limited access to basic human rights such as education, healthcare and decent living conditions. It leads to social exclusion and structural discrimination. The different types of povertyabsolute, relative and subjective intersect and reinforce each other, deepening social inequalities.Social inequality, resulting from differences in income, education and social status, leads to the marginalization of vulnerable groups and hinders social mobility.Social exclusion is a process that pushes certain groups out of public life and deprives them of equal access to resources and participation in society.Poverty and social exclusion are often intertwined and reproduced across generations, and modern economic transformations create new forms of poverty affecting increasingly broad social groups.Modern policies to combat poverty, especially within the framework of the 2030 Strategy and Goal 1 of the UN, are based on an integrated and intersectoral approach that includes measures for employment, education, health, social protection and access to housing.Emphasis is placed on human rights, social justice and equality as the basis for sustainable development and social inclusion.
