Improving the Efficiency of Multi-Cloud Storage
Multi-cloud storage services typically combine quorum systems and erasure codes to disperse data in <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$n$</tex> cloud storage providers without using <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$n$</tex> times more storage than single cloud solutions while tolerating a fraction of faulty providers. We present a method for decreasing such storage overhead even more when cloud providers are responsive.
