Real Time Processing of Pulse Compression in Software Radar
The pulse compression radar transmits pulse with large time-bandwidth product, which can solve the contradiction between conventional radar detection power and range resolution. Software-defined radar adopts an open, universal, and standardized architecture, supporting software-defined radar functions, which enhances the operational performance, development quality, and efficiency of radar systems. To address the high computational load of pulse compression algorithms in software-defined radar, the overlap-save method is employed to segment and process long pulse repetition interval (PRI) data, thereby improving the throughput of the central processing unit (CPU), and this method is implemented on an Intel Xeon E5-2648L v4 processor.
