Research and Design of GNSS-Based Airborne Intelligent Supplemental Navigation System
This paper aims at the lack of effective supplemental navigation means for civil aircraft when facing the problem of incomplete coverage of land-based navigation, in addition, under the conditions of bad weather, it is necessary to provide timely and accurate meteorological information, the meteorological information transmission based on ACARS communication has a blind spot, and there is a lack of effective means of anti-interference in the complex terrain and bad weather conditions, therefore, it is designed for the aircraft to add an intelligent supplemental navigation system based on the domestic GNSS, which can assist the aircraft navigation and positioning in case of GPS failure, and realize the position display, flight guidance, terrain display, meteorological information display and other functions under the complex operating environment, so as to guarantee the safety of flight under the special terrain conditions and realize fuel saving, and also realize the tracking and surveillance of the aircraft under the regular operation of the air traffic control center and airline company by using the unique short message function of the domestic GNSS, and provide the aircraft with real-time meteorological information transmission and display services. This paper introduces the overall design, system composition, software design, modification design and airworthiness considerations of the intelligent supplemental navigation system. The preliminary test shows that the system can realize the above supplemental navigation-related functions, which is of pioneering significance for the application of domestic GNSS to the supplemental navigation of civil aircraft, and at the same time, this lays the technical foundation for the eventual realization of intelligent navigation for aircraft based on domestic GNSS.
