WiFi CSI Sensing for Machine Activity Detection in Industrial Environments
The use of radio frequency signals for activity detection has gained significant research interest, particularly through WiFi signals based on the IEEE 802.11 standard. These signals, widely available due to commercial devices, enable applications using channel state information (CSI), which captures amplitude attenuation and phase shift as signals interact with people and objects. Most studies focus on human activity detection in small indoor spaces, leveraging CSI for recognition, estimation, and tracking [1] .
