Unified AI-Product Lifecycle Based on Road-Vehicle Safety Standards
The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into vehicle functions is reshaping the automotive industry by enhancing safety, efficiency, and customer experience. However, demonstrating compliance with established and emerging safety standards poses new challenges for AI-driven functions, due to the lack of clear guidelines on adapting these standards for AI systems and managing their interactions. This paper presents a unified AI-product lifecycle approach, grounded in standards like ISO 26262, ISO 21448, and ISO/PAS 8800, to facilitate the compliant development of AI-based systems in road vehicles.
