The two-dimensional surface wave imaging under the generalized wave equation
With the increasing demands for human production activities and safety, the need for detecting and monitoring near-surface underground spaces has grown significantly. Developing high-precision and efficient near-surface exploration methods has become a prominent research focus. Considering the microstructure of the medium and its interactions, couple stress theory provides a framework for studying the effects of microstructures on wavefields. This study employs the generalized wave equation under couple stress theory to achieve two-dimensional shear wave velocity structure inversion through surface wave dispersion curve inversion.
