Long tail theory of seismic wave amplitude spectrum
It is generally believed that exploration seismic data has a narrow effective frequency band, low main frequency, and low resolution. This article proposes the long tail theory of seismic wave amplitude spectrum through the study of spectral scanning of shallow single shot seismic records, shallow seismic data, laying the foundation for innovation in high-resolution seismic processing technology. The amplitude spectrum of seismic waves has a narrow effective frequency band for the low-frequency advantage at the head and a long effective frequency band for the high-frequency disadvantage at the tail; The effective frequency band of the head low-frequency advantage decays quickly, while the high-frequency attenuation of the tail weak effective frequency band becomes slower and slower; The high-frequency attenuation of the weak effective frequency band at the tail can be restored, resulting in the long tail becomes long head and obtaining broadband ultra-high resolution seismic data (Fig. 1).
