Microseismic monitoring for roof deformation in mining and early warning for safety

The “microseismic” monitoring method developed for mine safety is still in the stage of small earthquakes or stronger microseismic with magnitude M≥-1, when accidents may have occurred. In recent years, we have used Vector Scanning (VS) to explore the early microseismic warning, especially the spatiotemporal distribution of roof deformation in excavation, based on the characteristics of microseismic and its monitoring.

Abstract

The “microseismic” monitoring method developed for mine safety is still in the stage of small earthquakes or stronger microseismic with magnitude M≥-1, when accidents may have occurred. In recent years, we have used Vector Scanning (VS) to explore the early microseismic warning, especially the spatiotemporal distribution of roof deformation in excavation, based on the characteristics of microseismic and its monitoring.
