ID: 4382914 TIME COURSE OF CHANGES IN BLOOD PRESSURE UPON CESSATION OF CHRONIC ATRIOVENTRICULAR INTERVAL MODULATION THERAPY (AVIM)
Prior studies have shown that AVIM immediately, substantially, and significantly reduces systolic blood pressure (SBP) in hypertensive pacemaker patients, with a sustained antihypertensive effect at an average of 3.6 years. However, the time course of changes in SBP upon discontinuation of chronic AVIM delivery is unknown. This follow-up sub-study of subjects from the previously published randomized trial addresses the question.
