ID: 4344619 AUGMENTED REALITY HAPTIC FEEDBACK SYSTEM FOR CARDIOVASCULAR INTERVENTIONS
Sense of touch is advantageous when visual channels are heavily loaded and largely absent during catheter and robotic procedures. Prior work with a haptic system without visual displays demonstrated subjects with experience in electrophysiology (EP) palpated; left atrial pressure, time of transeptal puncture, variations in contact force (CF) during RFA in swine, simulations of PFA contact uniformity. We hypothesized that a wearable Haptic System with a simulated EP mapping display (HS) would be intuitive to subjects with and without prior exposure to EP.
