Primary varicella infection with secondary staphylococcal scalded skin syndrome

Varicella infection is a common childhood communicable disease. Presentation in children is associated with mild symptoms and a benign course. However, there can be secondary complications. We report a rare case of a 4-month-old boy with primary varicella infection complicated by staphylococcal scalded skin syndrome.
