Reliability Analysis of Anti-Drone Laser Systems: A Probabilistic Approach
This research paper addresses the need for effective countermeasures against drones, particularly focusing on Anti-Drone Systems (ADS) incorporating laser technology. The study proposes a mathematical model for reliability assessment in safeguarding military assets and civilian populations from drone threats. By considering factors such as the number of lasers, laser failure, and laser strike misses, the paper presents a comprehensive model for evaluating system reliability. Numerical illustrations demonstrate the impact of varying parameters on system reliability. The proposed reliability measure serves as a valuable tool for evaluating and enhancing existing ADS. The research contributes to a gap in the literature by providing insights into the reliability analysis of ADS and offers a foundation for future research in this area.
