First record of the genus <i>Pachypasoides</i> Matsumura, 1927 (Lepidoptera, Lasiocampidae) from India
The present paper documents the first occurrence of Pachypasoides modesta (Lajonquière, 1973) from India, representing the first record of the genus Pachypasoides Matsumura, 1927 in the country. Diagnostic morphological features, habitus photographs, and detailed illustrations of the male genitalia of P. modesta are provided to support the authentic identification of the species. Besides this, we present a comprehensive checklist of all currently known species of the genus Pachypasoides, contributing to the understanding of its taxonomy and distribution.
