OPTIMALISASI MODA TRANSPORTASI UMUM GUNA MENINGKATKAN KONEKTIVITAS WILAYAH DAN MEWUJUDKAN KESEJAHTERAAN MASYARAKAT DI KABUPATEN CILACAP

Public transportation problems in Cilacap Regency, such as the high dependence of the community on private vehicles, congestion, and less than optimal integration of transportation mode, encourage the need to develop a better public transportation system. This study aims to analyze public transportation optimization strategies to improve regional connectivity and community welfare. The method used is qualitative with a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis approach, supported by literature studies, field observations, and analysis of policy documents such as Policy and planning documents of Cilacap Regency using primary and secondary data. The SWOT analysis produced 12 strategies, with the main recommendation being the development of integrated, technology-based public transportation collaboratively. The results of the study indicate that strengthening public transportation in Cilacap requires technology-based development, infrastructure improvements, and multi-party collaboration (government, private sector, BUMN). The implementation of this strategy is expected to reduce congestion, increase accessibility, and support sustainable development.
