BIOINFORMATIC ANALYSIS OF SYMBIOTIC RELATIONSHIPS

We used digital analogues expressing the positive (1), neutral (0) and negative (–1) influence of the two symbiont species on each other in a system of symbiotic relationships. Based on the Python programming language, an algorithm has been created that iterates through various variants of interaction between symbionts. The program identifies the type of symbiosis based on various combinations of influence between symbionts and determines an algebraic sum that can be represented as a symbiotic balance. The results are presented in the form of a matrix, which shows the main types of symbiosis, the variants of influence between the two species, and the calculated algebraic sum. As a concomitant result, a linear model of parasitism is proposed, within which conditional boundaries of a positive influence for the parasite (from 1 to 0) and a negative influence for the host (from 0 to –1) are defined.
