A voz da criança vítima de violência sexual: o que pode a escuta interdisciplinar?
This study aimed to analyze the reverberations of the child’s voice, speech, and revelation regarding situations of intrafamilial/incestuous sexual violence with an emphasis on the analysis of a clinical case and the discussion of the traumatic in the family context. Methodologically, the research was based on a case study constructed from the care provided to a 10-year-old child and her mother at a clinic specialized in attending to victims of sexual violence. The analysis highlighted several interpretative points: the power of care that provides the child with conditions for discursive production; the importance of genuine spaces of silence for the voice to echo, reveal, and shape the pain according to the child’s time and desire. Giving voice to the child meant offering interdisciplinary, engaged, institutional listening within a clinical-political practice, an ethical dimension that encompasses the discourse of the suffering child.
