IMPACTO DA OSCILAÇÃO CAMBIAL DENTRO DA CADEIA PRODUTIVA
This article analyzes the impact of exchange rate fluctuations within the Brazilian production chain, considering their macroeconomic and sectoral implications. The main objective was to investigate how exchange rate volatility interferes with costs, final prices, international competitiveness, and corporate strategies. The methodology was qualitative, applied in nature, with exploratory and descriptive characteristics, based on bibliographic review of classical and contemporary economic works, as well as documentary analysis of official reports from institutions such as the Central Bank, IMF, OECD, CNI, and IBGE. The results showed that exchange rate fluctuations affect different productive sectors heterogeneously: agribusiness tends to benefit during periods of currency depreciation, while sectors dependent on imported inputs, such as pharmaceutical, automotive, and technology industries, face increased costs and loss of competitiveness. It was also observed that although the use of hedge instruments has grown among large exporters, small and medium-sized enterprises remain highly vulnerable to volatility. It is concluded that mitigating exchange rate impacts requires integrated action between public stabilization policies, productive diversification, and democratization of access to risk management instruments, in order to strengthen the resilience of the national production chain.
