Religia i etnos w myśli politycznej Benjamina Disraelego
The article presents the research results on the importance of Jewish heritage awareness in influencing the political thought of Benjamin Disraeli (1804–1881). Disraeli, who was the leader of the Conservative Party, served as Chancellor of the Exchequer and Prime Minister, and was also a professional novelist. He viewed himself as a representative of the national and religious Jewish community. Rather than shying away from his heritage, he embraced it and used it as a compelling element of his personal narrative. From the perspective of Disraeli’s socio-political thought, this focus on the historical and religious dimension of humanity founded an original conservative-romantic anthropology, which Disraeli developed and which significantly impacted British conservatism.
