Role of Marma Chikitsa in Manasika Vyadhi: A Conceptual Review

Mental disorders have emerged as a global health burden with a significant impact on individual well-being and societal function. Ayurveda, with its holistic and multidimensional approach, offers effective modalities for addressing psychological disorders (Manasika Vyadhi). Among these, Marma Chikitsa has gained attention as a non-invasive, energybased therapy grounded in classical Ayurvedic wisdom. This conceptual review explores the pathogenesis of Manasika Vyadhi in Ayurvedic terms, the therapeutic significance of Marma points, and the application of Marma Chikitsa as a supportive modality in psychiatric care.
