A DNA and Boolean Operations-Based Secure Multi-Image Sharing Scheme for Confidential Multimedia Communication

It is an era of digital media and advanced technology. Multimedia data comprises images, audio, and video content or a mixture of these. Usually, for secure multimedia communication, image encryption is used to protect secret images from being theft, stolen and misused. But when it comes to sharing multiple confidential images over an insecure channel, a secret image sharing scheme is commonly used to attain security. Therefore, this research introduces a secure Multi-Secret Image Sharing (MSIS) scheme combining DNA cryptography with Boolean/XOR operations for robust multimedia protection. Unlike conventional methods, our approach simultaneously encrypts k confidential images while generating = Shared images to prevent unauthorized access. The framework leverages: (1) a novel random DNA rule allocation model for bit-plane security, and (2) pixel-level matrix operations to thwart attacks. Experimental results confirm the scheme's efficacy in safeguarding sensitive images, making it ideal for high-stakes applications like medical or military communications. This work advances secure multimedia transmission by addressing scalability and vulnerability challenges in existing systems.
