Robust enhanced sound insulation of advanced nanoparticle-reinforced carbon fiber double-walled panel under external mean flow
This study established a theoretical model of vibro-acoustic coupling for the double-walled panel composed of nanoparticle-reinforced carbon fiber laminates with external mean flow. The effects of external mean flow and the mass of the nanoparticle on the sound transmission loss (STL) characteristics of nanoparticle-reinforced carbon fiber double-walled panel were investigated. Theoretical calculations indicate that the mass of inclusion particles and external mean flow have a significant impact on the STL of the structure. Under the combined effects of inclusion particle mass, external flow, and boundary conditions, the structure shows a remarkable improvement in STL at low frequencies. Based on the designability of nanoparticle-reinforced carbon fiber laminates, a configuration of double-walled panel was proposed that exhibits exceptional sound insulation performance at high Mach numbers. These results demonstrate the potential of this study in the improvement of sound insulation applications of carbon fiber double-walled panels.
