Culture - engine of sustainable development

The holistic concept of the well-being of a nation, where the whole irreducible to the sum of its parts has an integrating factor, that is none other than Education and implicitly Culture. What do we have first an Economy or a Nation? This is the question that preoccupies the enlightened minds of modern democracies throughout the civilized world. The technological leap that modern Moldova wants is slow in coming, for the simple reason that it is not identical to the notion of a civilizational leap, which naturally precedes the first one. And in this situation, it is culture that really matters. The resilience of Moldova's national spiritual nuclei has proved its veracity, authenticity and authority over time. This has evolved, through profound intellectual elaborations, into sublime forms of morality, spirituality and culture, displaying enduring values and the creation of new ones. Education, spirituality and culture are the basic factors that cover the need for knowledge and understanding of situations, systems and the world around us.
