Restoration of Asymmetrical Anterior Regions with Different Digital Design: Case Reports

Aim To offer a minimally invasive treatment approach with a different preparation technique and digital design for restoring malposed or missing maxillary anterior teeth with resin-bonding fixed dental prosthesis (RBFDP) at inappropriate extraction areas. Case Report The first case report describes the treatment of a 20-year-old male patient with upper right-left lateral asymmetric tooth gaps in full crossbite position is described. The patient had insufficiency and asymmetry in the lateral tooth spaces that needed to be corrected with orthodontic treatment. Therefore, treatment options included orthodontic treatment, traditional crown-bridge prosthesis following tooth extraction, implant treatment, or modified resin-bonded zirconia bridges covering the central incisor and canine teeth. The second case report describes the treatment of a 25-year-old female patient who wanted to replace a mobile primary canine with a wide interproximal space and congenitally missing lateral teeth. This presentation demonstrates minimally invasive treatment for restoring missing anterior teeth and reveals how resin-bonded restorations are used with different preparation techniques in narrow or wide interproximal areas. Discussion The presented restoration design preserves the transversal position of RBFDPs while ensuring physiological tooth mobility and aesthetics. It also provides adequate retention while improving hygienic conditions. Conclusion Finally, if restorations are damaged, reconstruction may be possible. A resin-bonded fixed partial denture (RBFPD) is a minimally invasive treatment option to replace a missing tooth. The key advantages of RBFDP include being a fixed, cost-effective dental restoration option that efficiently preserves tooth structure.
