Late-Stage Deoxygenative Olefination in the Synthesis of Stachene Diterpenoids
Deoxygenative olefinations enable access to expand the chemical space of chiral pools by installing a carbon-carbon double bond. We explored methodologies to remove oxygenated functionalities along with the formation of an olefin, applying the formation of an enol triflate followed by a hydrogenolysis in the synthesis of stachene diterpenoids (+)-monogynol, (+)-monogynoic acid, and (+)-nidoanomalin.
