An Analysis of the Performance of .hr Domain Homepages Using the Google Lighthouse Tool
The paper analyzes the performance of homepages within the. hr domain using the Google Lighthouse tool. The analysis includes 111,117 homepages with data collected on key performance metrics: First Contentful Paint (FCP), Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), Speed Index, Total Blocking Time (TBT), and Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS). In addition to these metrics, data related to console errors, the number of network requests (HTTPS), page sizes, and the use of the HTTP(S) protocol were analyzed. The data were collected using a custom software solution and stored in a MariaDB relational database. The analysis was performed using SQL queries. The query results indicate frequent problems such as console errors, unoptimized image content, and excessive use of resources that prolong website loading times. The discussion and conclusion offer suggestions for website optimization regarding the metrics mentioned and provide useful insights for future research into the performance of homepages within the .hr domain.
