Reasons for the Spread of Python Programming Language in Hungarian Public Education
Today, there is no question that programming education should be part of public education. Over the past decade, the demand for the application of problem-solving and algorithmic skills has grown to such an extent that it is essential that educational management finds a place for and emphasises their development. A myriad of programming languages have appeared in education, but for many years the focus has been on teaching only those that best served the core output requirements, without examining the extent and depth of programming knowledge that the language actually provides. Of the programming languages currently available, Python is the youngest and has seen an astonishing increase in popularity in recent years, both in vocational and secondary education. The article explores the reasons for this growth in the Hungarian education system.
