Research on the Application Status of Remote Sensing Technology in the Development of Intelligent Agricultural Insurance

This study presents a comprehensive literature review on the application of remote sensing technology in the advancement of smart agricultural insurance. While existing research has made notable strides in this domain, particularly in data acquisition and processing, there remain several areas requiring enhancement. Scholars have developed a smart agricultural index insurance model that utilizes satellite climate parameters to create an index system reflecting agricultural production conditions, thereby enabling the quantification and standardization of risk. Consequently, this paper systematically evaluates these contributions, explores the current landscape of “remote sensing + insurance” technology, identifies existing challenges and limitations, and offers recommendations for improvement. The primary objective is to provide both theoretical support and practical guidance for the optimization and advancement of smart agricultural insurance systems.
