Blockchain Technology in Regulating the Truthfulness of Digital Content

There is a paradox of modern life, as never before in history we rely on digital content, texts, images and videos, and on the other hand we do not believe in the veracity of digital content. One of the fundamental tasks of the future is to restore trust in digital content. The aim of this paper is to explore the potential of blockchain technology in regulating the veracity of digital content and reducing the spread of disinformation. The paper analyzes how blockchain technology can contribute to the transparency and security of digital content, creating practically an entire ecosystem that enables the verification of information sources and the preservation of data integrity. Special attention is paid to possible applications of blockchain technology in the fight against fake news and disinformation and the challenges associated with its implementation. The paper concludes that blockchain technology has the potential to play a key role in improving trust in digital media, but emphasizes the need for further education and development of technical solutions adapted to the specifics of the media environment.
