Identifying and Enhancing Cyber Resilience of Mobile Networks against Data Exploitation Attacks
Mobile networks improve the connectiveness of the people around the globe but can present several cyber security risks such as eavesdropping and stolen information. This means key risks are attacks like Evil Twin APs as well as Wi-Fi phishing in places like cafés and airports. To minimize such threats robust security measures are essential. Recommendations include the use of AES-256 full message end-to-end security, Multi or Biometric security, IDS (intrusion detection system), Advanced security firewalls. It also enhances defenses by migrating legacy methods, like basic telecommunication services Signaling System Seven (SS7) to Diameter, for instance. Thus, by applying these approaches, networks can successfully protect against data exploitation attacks and increase the security of people and the mobile environment.
