Lessons From a Remote Blood Pressure Monitoring Trial
The American Heart Association and American Medical Association have long advocated for integrating home blood pressure (BP) monitoring into routine care. 1 Their joint initiatives, including Target: BP and the Measure Accurately, Act Rapidly, and Partner With Patients blood pressure improvement program, have long emphasized the importance of out-of-office monitoring, care team engagement, and data-driven treatment intensification to meet national BP control targets. 2 Yet, despite widespread guideline support and policy incentives, clinical implementation remains low and inconsistent. 3
