Manual and semi-digital management of academic processes in Indian higher education institutions continues to create inefficiencies, errors, and communication gaps among students, lecturers, and administrators.To address this, we present Eshala, a role-based academic management system developed using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js,React.js,Node.js).The platform provides secure login for students, lecturers, and heads of departments (HODs), integrating functionalities such as attendance tracking, timetable publishing, internal assessment and result management, hall ticket generation, leave applications, and study resource sharing.Eshala reduces paperwork, enhances transparency, and enables real-time communication, thereby streamlining academic administration.Testing and evaluation demonstrate that the system is scalable, efficient, and user-friendly, paving the way for future extensions such as mobile application development and online examinations.
