The quality of the distance training material in the Accelerated Training of Teachers in Distance Education (T4E) through the views of the trainees

The increased demands of our time for quality education have created, among other things, the need for professional development of teachers through rapid distance training, such as the Accelerated Training of Teachers in Distance Education. The object of this review study was to investigate, through a quantitative strategy, the views of 55 trainees on the quality of the distance training material of T4E in terms of its pedagogical and didactic appropriateness, social validity and aesthetics. The trainees of the sample considered that although the training material is generally of high quality, there were however some shortcomings in its design, such as enhancing learning motivation, providing meaningful feedback and respecting diversity. The trainees of the sample also expressed the view that the format and aesthetics of the training material could be improved.
